Studying the nature that surrounds us, the Rivers Project la Segarra
This
initiative of the Rivers Project has been promoted by the Regional
Council of la Segarra, and mainly consists of several inspection
trips to rivers of the region. These trips have been conducted by
technical staff from the Regional Council.

The
Rivers Project is an initiative by Habitat Association that aims to
discover the rivers of Catalonia and its ecosystems, how they work,
how we can find the bodies, the importance of environmental problems
and suffering. These inspections, which are made twice a year, spring
and autumn, consist of a study of physical and chemical parameters
and biological parameters of the river.
The
IES Antonia Torroja has its checkpoint of Ondara river near
Granyanella, past the treatment of Cervera. The students observed
that the Ondara is a river with little diversity of wildlife and
vegetation. However, the conclusion of the inspection was that the
river Ondara, at this point, has symptoms of disease.
